- What is a forward deployed engineer?
- An engineer who works inside a client program, close to its users and its data, adapting a platform to the client’s actual problem. In the Palantir ecosystem the role centers on Foundry and AIP; AI platform companies now hire for the same pattern.
- How are contract engineers engaged?
- Through their own companies. Kernavique contracts with you and with the engineer’s company, and the scope and term are set out in writing before the engagement starts.
- Can we convert a contractor to a permanent employee?
- Yes. Contract to permanent is one of the four Capacity services. We agree how conversion works with you before the engagement starts, so the end of the term holds no surprises.
- Where are your engineers based?
- US engineers for US clients come first. UK and EU engineers join US programs where the work and the client allow it.
- How fast can you cover a program that has slipped?
- Surge capacity exists for that. Tell us the scope and the start date on the brief call, and we will tell you on that call whether we can cover it.
