This policy explains what personal data Kernavique collects through this website, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have. Kernavique is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us about it at jake@kernavique.com.

What we collect

This website has no forms. We collect only what you choose to send us by email.

  • Enquiries: your name, email address and whatever you include in your message, such as your company and what you need.
  • Joining the network: the details you send us, such as your name, email address, LinkedIn profile or CV, where you are based, your discipline, your availability and whether you have the right to work in the US.

We do not use cookies, advertising trackers or third-party scripts that track you across sites.

How we use it and our lawful basis

  • Replying to an enquiry. We use the details in your email to reply to you and discuss your needs. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where you represent a business, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Contacting you about specific roles. If you join the network, we use the details you send us to contact you about specific roles that match what you told us. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give when you send us your details and can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

Emails you send us are held by our email provider. This website is hosted by Vercel, and we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying individual visitors. These providers act as our processors under written terms. Some of them process data in the United States; where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

If you join the network, we will share your profile with a client only when you have agreed to be put forward for a specific role.

How long we keep it

This website stores nothing you send us. Emails arrive in our inbox, where we keep them only as long as we need them to reply to you and follow up, and then delete them, unless we are working together and need to keep records for longer. If you joined the network, we keep your details until you ask us to remove them or withdraw your consent.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email jake@kernavique.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.

Visitors in the United States

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you are in a US state that gives you rights over your personal information, you can use them by emailing jake@kernavique.com.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the way we handle personal data changes, and change the last-updated date when we do.
